In November 2014 the KMC Rhino Tug successfully towed the MV Southern Sea from Watamu, Kenya to the scrap yard in Alang, India via Fujaira, UAE.
The total distance that was covered during the towing was approximately 3,500nm.
Rhino arrived in Alang with the Southern Sea on 2 December 2014.
